Article Identification and Numbering Policy

Effective from the next issue, Chatra: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengajaran will discontinue the use of conventional page numbers and page ranges for published articles. Each article will instead be assigned a unique Article Identifier (Article ID) based on the manuscript type and its Submission ID in the journal's submission system.

The Article ID will consist of a lowercase prefix followed directly by the Submission ID, without spaces or punctuation.

The following prefixes will be used:
Short Communication : Prefix s | Format: s + Submission ID | Example: s1009
Research Paper      : Prefix e | Format: e + Submission ID | Example: e1009
Review Paper        : Prefix r | Format: r + Submission ID | Example: r1009

For example, a manuscript with Submission ID 1009 will receive the following Article ID according to its article type:

  • Short Communication: s1009
  • Research Paper: e1009
  • Review Paper: r1009

The assigned Article ID will replace page numbers in the article PDF, journal issue, table of contents, metadata, indexing records, and the recommended citation format.

Citation Format

Beginning with articles published in the next issue, references should use the assigned Article ID instead of page numbers or page ranges.
