Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi makna sosial dan spiritual dari Munggah Kap, sebuah ritual tradisional dalam pembangunan rumah baru di masyarakat Jawa di Desa Sei Merbau, Kecamatan Ujung Padang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Munggah Kap memiliki makna spiritual sebagai simbol perlindungan dan keberkahan, serta berfungsi sebagai media sosial untuk memperkuat solidaritas antarwarga melalui gotong royong. Meski mengalami perubahan akibat modernisasi, esensi ritual ini tetap terjaga. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelestarian Munggah Kap sebagai bagian dari identitas budaya yang kaya akan nilai-nilai spiritual dan sosial.
