Jurnal Pendidikan Sosial Indonesia (JUPSI) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published three times a year, in February, June, and October. First published in June 2023, the journal serves as an academic platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners in Social Studies Education and Social Education, including civic and citizenship education, cultural studies, digital literacy, sociology-based education, and interdisciplinary social sciences education. The journal aims to disseminate original research articles and critical reviews addressing contemporary issues and developments in social education. Starting in 2026, the journal increases its publication frequency to four issues per year, published in February, May, August, and November.
Specifically, the journal focuses on advancing scholarly understanding of social learning and social education through research articles and theoretical analyses, with particular attention to Indonesia and the world. Its scope includes social learning and pedagogy (Social Studies Education, civic and citizenship education, curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment), digital and technology-based social education (digital literacy, digital citizenship, e-learning and blended learning, artificial intelligence/AI, and educational media innovation), as well as culture, society, and social transformation (multicultural education, culture and identity, community-based and non-formal education, social policy, democratic citizenship, and education for Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs).
