Author Guidelines

1. About the Journal

Jurnal Pendidikan Sosial Indonesia (JUPSI) is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by CV. Yazri Aksara Nusantara / Yazri Publisher. The journal publishes high-quality Original Research Articles, Review Articles, and Conceptual Papers in the field of Social Studies Education and related educational disciplines.

JUPSI welcomes scholarly contributions that advance educational theory, research, policy, and practice through innovative, interdisciplinary, and evidence-based approaches.

2. Article Types

JUPSI accepts the following categories of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Conceptual Papers

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal or publication venue.

3. Before You Submit

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.
  • The manuscript is not under review by another journal.
  • All authors have read and approved the final version of the manuscript.
  • The manuscript complies with the Publication Ethics of JUPSI.
  • The manuscript has been prepared using the official JUPSI Article Template.
  • References are formatted according to APA Style (7th Edition).
  • The overall similarity index does not exceed 15%.
  • The manuscript is written in clear, accurate, and grammatically correct English.

4. Manuscript Preparation

Authors are required to prepare manuscripts using the official JUPSI Article Template.

General manuscript requirements include:

  • Manuscript language: English
  • Title: Maximum 16 words
  • Abstract: 150–200 words
  • Keywords: 3–5 keywords
  • Complete author names and institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding author's email address
  • References formatted according to APA Style (7th Edition)
  • All tables and figures must be cited within the manuscript.

5. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s)
  3. Affiliation(s)
  4. Corresponding Author
  5. Abstract
  6. Keywords
  7. Introduction
  8. Methods
  9. Results
  10. Discussion
  11. Conclusion
  12. References

6. References

References should:

  • Follow APA Style (7th Edition).
  • Be arranged alphabetically.
  • Include only works cited in the manuscript.
  • Prioritize recent, relevant, and scholarly sources.
  • Include DOIs whenever available.

The use of reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is strongly recommended.

7. Ethical Requirements

Authors must comply with the Publication Ethics of JUPSI throughout the submission and publication process.

JUPSI maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, and all other forms of publication misconduct. Every submitted manuscript undergoes an originality screening before entering the double-blind peer-review process.

8. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted tools may be used only to improve language quality, grammar, readability, or formatting. Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, interpretation, and conclusions presented in their manuscripts.

AI tools must not be credited as authors or co-authors.

9. Conflict of Interest

Authors are required to disclose any financial, institutional, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the interpretation or presentation of their research findings.

If no conflict of interest exists, authors should include the following statement:

"The authors declare no conflict of interest."

10. Funding Statement

Authors should acknowledge all sources of financial support received for conducting the research.

If the research did not receive external funding, authors should state:

"This research received no external funding."

11. Author Contributions

Authors are encouraged to specify the contribution of each author to the manuscript.

12. Acknowledgements

Authors may acknowledge individuals, institutions, organizations, or funding agencies that contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

13. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS).

The editorial workflow consists of the following stages:

14. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright to their published works.

All accepted articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source.

16. Article Template

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts using the latest official Jurnal Pendidikan Sosial Indonesia (JUPSI) Article Template. Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal's formatting and submission requirements may be returned to the authors for revision before entering the peer-review process.
